THE UTERUS
The uterus is the muscular organ where the embryo implants, resulting in a pregnancy. Certain conditions damage the lining (endometrium) or the wall of the uterus to such an extent that the embryo can no longer implant. Most common among those conditions are uterine fibroids, endometrial polyps and inflammatory and traumatic lesions of the endometrium.
